New Ideas Rarely Are

I was lucky enough to meet Douglas Englebart a few years ago in a seminar at Berkeley. In 1968, he introduced the mouse, hypertext and other ideas to a group of 1000 computer scientists via video conference. It’s amazing how long it takes to see something right in front of us.
